Movado Watches

Movado is a well-respected Swiss company that has been making watches since 1881.  Known for its simple, classic look, Movado watches are considered to be luxury timepieces of high quality, inventive technology, and fine craftsmanship.

The most well know design created by Movado is the Museum Watch. This distinctive piece, created in 1960, is defined by a single dot gemstone placed at 12:00. The numberless face, straight hands, and unembellished band create a very plain yet elegant timepiece.

Sometimes criticized for the minimalism of the design, fans of Movado argue back that the simplicity is the point.  The cleanness and purity imply an understated classiness.  In addition, Movado should never be stereotyped by that one watch style.  The company offers a wide variety of watches in many different styles and materials.  Movado designs include sport chronograph watches; watches with numbers; watches in gold or silver for men and women, watches with sapphire faces, with gemstones and with colored faces to name a few variations.

Interestly enough, the Movado Group has several brand names besides Movado.  Other brands include Ebel, Concord, ESQ Swiss, Coach Watches, Hugo Boss Watches, Juicy Couture timepieces, Lacoste, and Tommy Hilfiger watches.
