Jewelry News, Popular TopicsJewelry of New York Fashion Week - II
Yes, there was so much to explore and ogle during the 2009 New York Fashion Week that I’m still digging up wows! This time, admittedly, was purely by accident.
I was surfing for a necklace unrelated to fashion week in Google images and found the stunning photo from Vogue below. I was stopped in my online tracks and, after doing a little more digging, found that Justin Giunta of Subversive Jewelry was found at both the Rachel Roy and J. Mendel shows during New York Fashion Week and that the popular reaction there was equally as favorable as mine.
Justin Giunta has been crafting jewelry from multiple mediums for five years and continues to create each piece from a unique concept completely by hand. As Justin’s bio states at SubversiveJewelry.com, the jewelry plays with the baroque philosophy that more is more. In this case, more certainly is… more!
Subversive Jewelry has been featured in O Magazine, Spin, Trend, Bazaar, Glamour, Vogue, and many more. It’s easy to see why; this chunky, eclectic, completely unique look is easy to fall in love with.
