Wedding Bands for Men
When I married years ago, I chose a traditional gold band for my husband. I liked the simplicity of the style and the inherent statement that the plain gold band made. I knew it would be instantly recognized for the symbol of love and commitment that it was.
Today, there are a lot of options available to brides interested in something different, but still clearly symbolizing their promise of commitment.
Perhaps my favorite line of men’s gold rings is produced by ArtCarved, a company that has been around since 1850. Beautifully designed and crafted, these rings are warranted against design or material imperfections and either re-sized or replaced if the ring size EVER changes. I really like that company stands by the quality and wear-ability of their wedding rings, and expects them to last the lifetime of the married couple. Many of the rings that ArtCarved offers are handsomely and intricately, molded. The rings are not only representative of marriage and fidelity, but beautiful pieces of jewelry as well.
Scott Kay is another designer that offers a large line of men’s wedding bands. Known for his national advise column, “Ask Scott Kay”, Mr. Kay’s articles appear in most bridal magazines and almost forty other publications, offering insight on fashion and bridal issues. Founding the Scott Kay brand in 1984, Mr. Kay is credited for the resurgence of platinum as a preferred metal in fine jewelry. Many celebrities, including Halle Berry, Michael Jordan and Gwyneth Paltrow have been seen wearing his designs. In 2003, the company turned its focus from platinum to sterling silver. Scott Kay’s Sterling pieces are designed to meet a larger range in look and price points.
Finally, opting for an alternative metal can be a great way to select a wedding band that expresses individuality.
There are several material choices out there today for unique wedding bands including Two-Tone rings, Palladium, Tungsten, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Ceramic, and Platina 4. These metals provide diffences in quality, longevity, and appearance to meet just about any taste and price point.
