Jewelry for ChildrenEarrings for Children
Purchasing earrings for a child can be difficult. For safety reasons, I’ve always been concerned when I see small children or babies wearing dangling earrings or ones with large hoops. As a mother, I know that kids aren’t always careful and accidents do happen where earrings can be pulled or torn from the earlobe. I feel much better when parents stick to simple stud earrings or ones with small designs that fit closely to the ear of their small child. As a second safety concern, parents should select earrings with either gold or surgical steel posts to prevent infections. Lastly, the jewelry should have clasps that secure tightly so that they don’t become loose and hence, a choking danger. The older the child, the more capable that child is of wearing a larger variety of earrings.
