Jewelry Designer John Hardy and his wife Cynthia fell in love with the exquisite beauty and culture of the Pacific Island of Bali. Inspired both by the incredible lushness of the nature surrounding them as well as by the ancient metalworking and jewelry making traditions of the native population, the Hardy’s set out to build a fine quality jewelry business that incorporated the heritage and beauty they lived in. Many of Hardy’s designs incorporate hidden images and symbols of the island, such as etched volcanoes and river-stones. In some cases, local materials such as bamboo, buffalo horn and alabaster are utilized along with fine gold and silver. Each design is handmade by a skilled craftsman using only the highest quality materials. No two pieces of jewelry are exactly alike and each is meant to be a unique work of art. John Hardy has collections for women, teens, children and men.
