Jewelry Trends for Men: Dog Tags
Stainless Steel Lords Prayer Dog Tag

Finding jewelry for men that is both masculine and attractive can sometimes be difficult.  One very popular trend that fits both of these criteria are Dog Tags.  The concept is wonderful because dog tags invoke the macho image of our military heroes yet they aren’t bulky, heavy, or cumbersome like many pieces of jewelry commonly seen in today’s fashion for men.

Although the recognizable shape is consistent among Dog Tag selections, there is a huge array of choices available in secondary characteristics to meet almost any taste and passion.  Dog tags are available in an assortment of materials such as stainless steel, gold, or tungsten carbide and are often accented with other materials such as titanium, enamel, diamonds, or sterling silver.  Many dog tags are symbolic to the wearer.   Pieces may be engraved, allowing the buyer to etch any sentimentality or design on the face.  Some tags have a religious theme, either etched or embedded with accent materials.  Crosses, the Lord’s Prayer and other religious symbols are commonly seen.  Other symbolic images I’ve noticed on Dog Tags include dragons, Chinese Characters and symbols of love.  There  is great value in the ability to personalize jewelry.   With this in mind, I believe Dog Tags are sure to be a lasting trend in men’s jewelry.
