Gift Ideas for Mothers Day: Jewelry Sets
Mother’s Day is this Sunday. Finding the perfect gift to show Mom how much she is loved and appreciated is always an easy task. Why? Because just about every Mom I know will adore any gift just because her child bought or made it for her. Frankly, it doesn’t matter if its a diamond tennis bracelet or a malformed paper mache ashtray– even if she doesn’t smoke. In this case, it’s most definitely the thought that counts. My Mom, in fact, loves to bring out the gift I gave her when I was five: an empty chocolate box stuffed with a box of chalk, a pack of gum, bobbie pins, and a few cents in change. It always makes her laugh. As we mature though, we want to give our mothers something beyond crayoned drawings. One idea is a jewelry gift set. Jewelry gift boxes usually contain from two to four pieces of matched jewelry, generally a necklace and earrings, and sometimes an additional ring, broach or bracelet. My Mom loves to wear jewelry that compliments her wardrobe, so for her, opting for a jewelry set with colored gemstones to coordinate a favorite outfit is a great gift idea. Although, I have my doubts that I will ever be able top her favorite box from the past, I’m sure she’ll be delighted with a beautiful gemstone jewelry set.
