For Christians, Easter is a holiday celebrating Christ’s resurrection after his death on the cross.  Easter is the first Sunday after the Full Moon, after March 21, the Spring equinox.

Passover is a Jewish holy day and festival commemorating God sparing the Israelites when he “passed over” their first born sons, saving them from the Plagues released against Egypt.  (Their doors were marked with the blood of a sacrificial lamb.)
