Silvermist diamonds are naturally occurring diamonds with a silver-gray color.  Found primarily in Australia, these colored gemstones are rare and valuable.   The Silvermist color is highly sought after because not only is the hue warm and soft, it makes a particularly appealing complementary tone when paired with black and white diamonds.  In fact, Silvermist diamonds rarely stand alone in jewelry, they are most commonly found as accent diamonds paired with other colored (or clear) gemstones.  To some people, the color gray seems glum, but Silvermist enthusiasts romanticize the stone and equate it  to “an early morning mist”.  Whatever the opinion of the shade, the stone clearly shines when it’s part of an ensemble piece.  The hue enhances and highlights boldly colored or white diamonds and produces gorgeous and eye-catching jewelry.
