Symbolic Jewelry for Easter: Religious and Secular
Similar to Christmas, Easter jewelry can be broken down into two basic categories: religious or secular holiday themed. In other words, symbolic Easter jewelry ranges from stylized rabbits, pastel colors, and Easter eggs to crosses and crucifixes. By no means is this an “either/ or” choice. Many people have both religious and “holiday fun” types of jewelry and choose which to wear according to their mood, wardrobe choice, or activities planned for the day. The selection of both holiday themed and religious jewelry is wide, especially for cross pendants which range from fine quality, diamond encrusted creations to simply crafted pieces composed of non-precious metal. Whether you opt for a gold cross pendant or a pink bunny bracelet, Easter jewelry still reminds us that there is a reason behind our celebration.

When selecting jewelry for ...continue

Presidential jewelry to me is exemplified by flag pins. Every candidate for the job over the last few decades, both elected and not, has proudly proclaimed his or her love of country by adorning his/her lapel with pins depicting the red, white and blue. The pin is seen as an ...continue

'Tis the season for holiday shopping. Stylized Santas, elves, wreathes, angels, etc abound in jewelry. These pieces are wonderful for creating memorable Christmas traditions because like all holiday decorations, they're only worn during the season and create a special, warm feeling when brought out each year. The negative here is ...continue

Sorry it's been so long, friends! I've just returned to Austin from spending Thanksgiving with the family in snowy Colorado. The pewter skies and twirling crystalline flurries inspired me to incorporate these holiday touches into my life back home in Austin as Christmas and New Years approach. In anticipation of our ...continue
