Lariat Necklace

My favorite fashion necklaces these days are the lariat and lavaliere necklaces.  Lariat and Lavaliere Necklaces have been around for decades but have been making a come back.  These necklaces has been very popular the past few seasons and seem to growing in popularity even more.  The wonderful thing about these necklaces is that there is one for everyone from young teens to women. They are fun to wear and come in many colors and styles to go with any outfit.  I really love to wear them with a t-shirt and jeans to dress up the outfit.

The Lariat Necklace is one of small beads that is long and has a tassel-like feature that hangs down.  The lariat necklace is normally not attached at the ends and can be styled with a knot in the front instead of having a clasp hold it together in back.  Although it can have a clasp in the back and a tassel in the front to look like it is tied together.

Lavaliere Necklace

A Lavaliere Necklace is a long necklace with a pendant dangling in the front.  Some lavaliere are also called Y-Necklaces as they are in the shape of a Y and the part that dangles is considered the pendant.  A lavaliere necklace is also popular in American colleges as it refers to a necklace with fraternity letters which is given as a gift.  If the gift of the lavaliere is accepted, then it represents a romantic commitment that may result in a long term engagement and/or marriage.

Both of these style necklaces are very fashionable and can be found in a range of styles.  They complete every outfit from jeans to formal attire.  They also make a great gift or a reward for yourself!
