It’s that time of year once again when we’re all trying to come up with a gift idea that’s as unique and special as Mom.  One of the most popular gift ideas is the Mother’s ring, a ring especially created and designed for one  particular mom.  The idea allows a buyer to configure a ring so that it’s entirely unique to his/her mother.  The buyer chooses from a variety of ring styles, then selects a metal (generally silver or gold in differing weights), adds engraving with Mom’s and kid’s names along with a personal message, and completes the piece with a birthstone representing each family member (or child).  The mother’s or family ring is always sure to please and bring a few tears from Mom.  In the last few years the concept has spread to incorporate other pieces of jewelry, specifically bracelets, necklaces, and brooches.  I really like this idea because with rings, although re-sizable, you’re not always sure that they’ll fit until they are tried on and even then, ring size may change over time.  That problem doesn’t exist with bracelets, pendants, and pins.   Regardless, a piece of family jewelry will be treasured by Mom and is sure to make you her instant favorite.
